Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
- Build scalable and fault-tolerant backend services that integrate with cloud providers and ingest sensitive data.
- Develop pipelines that analyze, classify, correlate, and process cloud data.
- Build anomaly detection, alerting, automated issue resolution, and customer insight systems.
- Own technical delivery from design through production scalability and high-demand performance.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks within the software stack.
- Lead technology direction within an area of expertise and collaborate with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute innovation in a high-velocity agile environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend software.
- Experience building cloud-native products.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience building distributed systems using RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Celery.
- Experience writing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with gRPC.
- Experience with asynchronous programming such as asyncio and goroutines.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity is advantageous.
- A B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant military experience, is advantageous.
