Responsibilities
- Develop, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop moderately complex software using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms.
- Create program specifications, application documentation, implementation plans, and corrective measures for code deficiencies.
- Work with business and technology teams, clients, joint ventures, and vendor partners to determine solution approaches.
- Advise leadership on application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Apply procedures and application standards related to Payment Card Industry security compliance.
- Develop and recommend billable-hour and resource estimates for complex initiatives and projects.
- Assist with on-the-job training and provide technical expertise and advice to software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least six years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of at least two modern enterprise programming languages or technologies, including experience with APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: eight or more years of professional experience and experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Experience with one or more listed operating systems, databases, back-end technologies, front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile platforms, and machine-learning technologies.
- Ability to resolve complex issues, evaluate variable factors, select appropriate methods and techniques, and coordinate activities of other personnel.
