Responsibilities
- Develop moderately complex software using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms, including mobile applications.
- Design, code, debug, maintain, test, validate, document, and implement applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Analyze existing applications and formulate logic, specifications, procedures, flowcharts, and corrective measures for complex code issues.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams, clients, vendors, and joint venture partners to determine solution approaches.
- Advise leadership on application and infrastructure standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy, including PCI security compliance.
- Develop resource estimates and billable-hour recommendations for complex initiatives, projects, and issues.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical expertise to software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least six years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of at least two modern enterprise programming languages or technologies, APIs, external services, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Broad knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies, operating systems, databases, web frameworks, development tools, and mobile development.
- Eight or more years of professional coding, design, development, and data-analysis experience is preferred.
- Experience with IBM Rational Tools is preferred.
- Ability to work on complex issues, evaluate variable factors, select appropriate methods, and coordinate activities of other personnel.
