Base Salary

$85k - $118k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, construct, test, implement, and maintain native Android applications and small-scale features.
  • Translate application designs and technical requirements into Kotlin code using the Android technology stack.
  • Apply Android architecture, system design, and performance practices to deliver secure, stable, testable, and maintainable software.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues involving memory usage, rendering, battery consumption, application performance, and system integrity.
  • Configure and optimize complex multi-module builds and automate code quality, performance, unit testing, and build processing.
  • Use SonarQube, FindBugs, RTC, Jenkins, and RLM within development and CI/CD processes.
  • Analyze application systems, dependencies, runtime properties, business requirements, customer use cases, and support strategies.
  • Participate in technical implementation, architecture, performance, feature-priority, project-schedule, and delivery discussions.
  • Collaborate with users, clients, technology groups, team members, managers, and third-party service providers.
  • Improve development processes, measure productivity, manage risk, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional experience building native Android applications, with a portfolio showing depth across the full Android development lifecycle.
  • Expert knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and unidirectional data flow.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle, including complex multi-module build configuration and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve production performance issues involving memory, rendering, and battery consumption.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.
  • Experience affecting large-scale culture change and working with third-party service providers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Benefits

  • Full-time position based in Irving, Texas.
  • Salary range of $84,580.00–$118,020.00, plus potentially eligible discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
