Responsibilities
- Build and deliver full-stack product features through the complete software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and testing while developing scalable, reusable, and consistent engineering solutions.
- Facilitate discussions with teammates and stakeholders to solve customer problems.
- Research, communicate, and advocate for engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior teammates and share technical knowledge.
- Understand customer workflows and improve Jobber’s online and mobile applications.
- Use agentic AI tools daily by delegating real work, verifying results, and improving development workflows.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior software engineering experience on a full-stack development team.
- Experience learning and writing quality code in multiple languages, with JavaScript or TypeScript required.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong systems focus and experience building foundational software for large-scale applications.
- Structured understanding of full-stack frameworks, architectures, technologies, and patterns.
- Experience providing technical mentorship and sharing engineering best practices.
- Daily hands-on experience building with agentic AI tools beyond autocomplete or chat.
- Preferred: exposure to technical leadership, Kafka and basic AWS knowledge including Lambda, ECS, or EC2.
- Preferred: production experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.
