Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design trades to support software designs.
- Design algorithms and develop embedded software for real-time, resource-constrained systems.
- Analyze designs, demonstrate performance and functionality, and execute software tests against requirements.
- Troubleshoot inefficient or malfunctioning software and develop corrective solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other deliverables.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Contribute to requirements development, architecture ideation, system-level risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Take responsibility for a subset of engineering scope and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent embedded-target development and troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of operating-system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
- Expertise in real-time software development and high-level languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with UML/SysML, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret Clearance is preferred.
