Responsibilities
- Design and implement storage engines for distributed databases in a cloud-native architecture.
- Perform engine design, implementation, testing, optimization, integration, and related development work.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant storage engines.
- Analyze system performance bottlenecks and optimize the database system.
- Track emerging database technologies and evaluate or implement relevant opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving software or systems engineering, or equivalent working experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C or C++.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, multithreaded programming, I/O, and operating system scheduling.
- Familiarity with database storage engine design and implementation or distributed storage modules, such as ClickHouse, Greenplum, MySQL, Doris, or key-value systems.
- Experience participating in or leading storage engine design and development for mainstream open-source or enterprise systems is preferred.
