Base Salary
$69k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply mathematical and algorithmic methods to data-driven defense and national security problems.
- Design algorithms, validate models, conduct analytic experimentation, and evaluate AI and machine learning techniques.
- Analyze model explainability, robustness, and trustworthiness for mission-ready AI systems.
- Build software tools, applications, and pipelines that integrate machine learning into operational workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, mission experts, and clients to understand needs and evaluate integration approaches.
- Iterate on software features, incorporate user feedback, and work with cloud environments, DevSecOps toolchains, and secure development practices.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript programming languages or frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Scheduled to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a STEM field by Spring/Summer 2027.
- Preferred experience includes AI and machine learning model development or integration, cloud platforms, containerization, DevSecOps tooling, databases, or data engineering pipelines.
- Preferred knowledge of Agile development.
