Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software supporting the operation and integration of ground antenna systems.
- Develop low-level software controlling motors, actuators, sensors, servos, encoders, controllers, and other electromechanical components.
- Build and maintain software interfaces with ground-station systems using low-level communication protocols.
- Integrate and test new electrical and mechanical systems with the antenna software stack.
- Troubleshoot software and electromechanical behavior across integrated systems.
- Develop automated tests and tools to validate antenna control software and system performance.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers to bring ground-station capabilities into operation.
- Support field deployment and reliable operation of ground antenna systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong software development experience in Python and Embedded Linux environments.
- Experience with networking, software communication protocols, low-level interfaces, and debugging.
- Professional experience developing and debugging software integrated with motors, actuators, servos, encoders, sensors, controllers, or other electromechanical systems.
- Experience with test automation and software validation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with software, electrical, mechanical, and RF engineers.
- Preferred experience with C or C++.
- Preferred experience with RF systems, satellite communications, or ground-station systems.
- Preferred experience deploying or supporting integrated software/electromechanical systems in field environments.
- Preferred experience with GNU Radio or similar software-defined radio frameworks.
