Base Salary
$112k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software development teams performing requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration of embedded real-time control and application software.
- Provide technical guidance, coordinate development activities, mentor junior engineers, and facilitate internal and customer reviews.
- Develop software documentation and support preparation for program milestone reviews.
- Drive software process improvement by analyzing metrics, identifying process gaps, refining metric definitions and collection methods, and evaluating tools and resources.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks while maintaining alignment across multidisciplinary teams and engineering standards.
- Travel up to 10% to support test activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience; or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes 6 or more years in embedded real-time software, web applications, or tool application development.
- Preferred experience developing software in C/C++, C#, and/or SQL.
- Experience with NI Linux, Integrity, Red Hat Linux, or QNX real-time operating systems.
- Experience with communications protocols including 1553, TCP/IP, RS-422, and SPI.
- Experience with UML and design tools such as Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, or Cameo.
- Experience integrating hardware and software and using laboratory test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Familiarity with software development IDEs and lifecycle management tools.
- Understanding of CMMI Level 3 or greater software processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams with increasing leadership responsibility.
