Base Salary
$112k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software development teams performing requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration of embedded real-time control and application software.
- Provide technical guidance, coordinate development activities, mentor junior engineers, and support internal, customer, and program milestone reviews.
- Develop software documentation and provide hands-on engineering contributions throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive software process improvement by analyzing metrics, identifying gaps, evaluating improvement options, and refining metric collection methods.
- Assess industry tools and resources to advance software engineering capability and maturity.
- Obtain or maintain the ability to receive a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Travel up to 10% may be required to support test activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least six years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and at least four years of relevant experience; or at least ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least six years of experience in embedded real-time software, web applications, and/or other tool application development is preferred.
- At least six years of experience developing software in C, C++, C#, and/or SQL is preferred.
- Experience with NI Linux, Integrity, Red Hat Linux, or QNX real-time operating systems is preferred.
- Experience with 1553, TCP/IP, RS-422, or SPI communications protocols is preferred.
- Experience with UML and Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, or Cameo design tools is preferred.
- Experience integrating hardware and software and using laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies is preferred.
- Familiarity with software development IDEs and lifecycle management tools is preferred.
- Understanding of CMMI Level 3 or greater software processes is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and increasing technical leadership experience are preferred.
Benefits
- On-site role at the Canoga Park, California facility with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.
- Salary range is $111,500–$207,500 per year.
