Base Salary

$87k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement project deliverables throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Update front-end, back-end, and Oracle database code using Java, Python, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
  • Design and implement software modifications, enhancements, and new functionality based on system change requests and Government requirements.
  • Troubleshoot software defects and improve system database performance.
  • Apply secure coding practices and mitigate software security vulnerabilities for cybersecurity compliance.
  • Support application release pipelines in development environments.
  • Track code and database changes using Jira within an Agile Scrum process.
  • Research AI, data structures, algorithms, and related tools to improve AI models and develop innovative solutions.
  • Analyze system architecture and propose upgrades based on technological advances.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on financial and information technology audit compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience with Java, Python, similar programming languages, and/or PL/SQL development.
  • Experience with AWS AI services, modern AI frameworks, and AI security, privacy, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience defining and designing complex requirements and troubleshooting effectively.
  • Ability to support off-hours and weekend coverage as needed.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim/Secret clearance; current and active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with one to two days per week onsite in Washington, DC.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS RDS for Oracle, database development, Django, Jira, Federal or Department of Defense customers, and DoD PPBE data and processes.
  • Security+ certification and strong planning, communication, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
