Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and partners to create and maintain experiences for Stripe.com.
- Prototype and implement web animations and interaction-heavy product launch materials.
- Build polished, accessible end-user web experiences across browsers and devices.
- Utilize, maintain, and extend design systems and shared libraries.
- Integrate the web platform with self-serve authoring and experimentation.
- Pair with and mentor other design engineers while contributing to a culture of excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant web frontend development or creative technology experience at a technology-focused, product-driven company.
- Advanced knowledge of modern HTML and CSS.
- Experience writing clear, elegant code in a team environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating design work and frontend code, such as design systems, microsites, Figma plugins, WebGL experiments, or CSS art.
- Experience designing and building public-facing websites that work across commonly used browsers and devices.
- Preferred: understanding of typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
- Preferred: proficiency with React focused on interactions, animation, performance, and polish.
- Preferred: experience with A/B testing, synthetic monitoring, or accessibility testing.
