Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify dependencies and develop design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
- Drive project plans, release plans, and work items with stakeholders and project managers.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide engineers through operational playbooks, participate in on-call monitoring, and initiate restoration actions for service issues.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance through new technical solutions and operational patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in data science, AI, or applied machine learning, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, feature engineering, experimentation, and model optimization.
Benefits
- Flexible work location with support for remote work.
- Base pay range in most U.S. locations is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year; San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
