Responsibilities
- Plan, integrate, script, execute, and document testing activities to ensure adequate coverage and release readiness.
- Develop and maintain test data, test cases, validation flows, regression test beds, test strategies, status reports, and test summaries.
- Perform manual, automated, regression, performance, database-validation, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to review requirements and technical designs for testability.
- Analyze, assign severity to, triage, and manage defects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support UAT, production releases, warranty periods, testing sign-off, and cross-impacted application coordination.
- Estimate testing effort with the Project Test Lead and meet project deliverables under changing conditions.
- Identify and escalate quality issues and mentor junior team members as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience, or an additional 2+ years of qualifying IT experience in lieu of the degree.
- Proficiency with testing tools including ALM and in-depth knowledge of testing methods, terminology, and industry best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation ability, and the ability to explain system issues clearly to management and internal customers.
- Experience in an Agile-Scrum environment and knowledge of data structures and data management practices.
- Knowledge of corporate security rules and legal or regulatory standards such as PCI and SOX.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use software packages or tools for processing or displaying data.
