Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build instrumentation and metrics to identify how DynamoDB components contribute to latency.
- Drive latency-reduction efforts and set performance targets for DynamoDB components.
- Continuously improve DynamoDB’s capacity management model.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain highly available software solutions.
- Create metrics, automation, and architectural improvements while resolving software defects.
- Collaborate across teams, participate in design discussions and code reviews, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Research implementations that improve customer experience, service performance, durability, cost, and security.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR, or Storm/Samza.
- Preferred experience debugging, profiling, and applying software engineering best practices in large-scale systems.
