Software Engineer III (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy production software for an agentic chatbot platform.
- Develop capabilities for intake, orchestration, retrieval, answer generation, caching, and platform integrations.
- Deliver clean and efficient code according to sprint commitments, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in design discussions, coding, testing, feedback, and technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech Leads, Architects, customers, and partner teams on design strategy and delivery.
- Review merge requests for business requirements, correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and implementation risk.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Propose creative solutions that improve the business and client experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, CIS, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of large-scale enterprise development experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Python, Java, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, backend service development, APIs, and frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Experience with OpenAI or other LLM APIs, prompt design, tool orchestration, response evaluation, retrieval, search, or reranking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Linux, Eclipse IDE, Git, Jira, and XSL experience are advantageous.
- Experience with AWS, AWS Lambda, user interface development, mobile development, HTML5, Swift, Bootstrap, jQuery, React Native, billing and payroll, data import/export, SSO, or large-scale EDI is helpful.
