Responsibilities
- Provide expert frontline troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution for escalated Databricks Data Intelligence platform issues.
- Engage directly with customers to understand technical problems and deliver clear, actionable solutions.
- Lead high-priority incident resolution, coordinate across teams, conduct root-cause analyses, and develop preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to identify recurring issues and drive platform improvements.
- Create support documentation, maintain knowledge bases, and develop training materials for support engineers.
- Monitor platform performance, implement optimizations, and oversee platform upgrades and patches with minimal service disruption.
- Analyze customer feedback and industry developments to improve platform capabilities and support processes.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience in technical support or engineering related to Databricks, cloud data platforms, or big data technologies.
- Deep understanding of Databricks architecture and Apache Spark, with experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines and distributed-computing systems.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration, log analysis, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using an analytical and methodical approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage high-impact customer interactions and collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Hadoop, Kafka, or NoSQL databases; familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines; and knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
