Responsibilities
- Enhance knowledge of algorithm complexity, data structures, and fluent code writing
- Support development of IMC’s trading platform and software stack
- Gain experience across the software development lifecycle while collaborating with traders, researchers, and hardware engineers
- Help identify, implement, and validate changes to trading algorithms and systems
- Participate in individual and collaborative hackathons and technology challenges
- Attend workshops, presentations, trainings, and social activities with the internship cohort
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate year of study in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and graduate in 2028
- Have proficient experience in a programming language, with Java or C++ preferred
- Demonstrate outstanding analytical skills and an interest in solving complex problems programmatically
- Be interested in financial markets; prior knowledge or experience is not required
- Be able to start the internship on June 28, 2027
- Obtain the required visa and/or permit to enter, stay, and work in the Netherlands
