Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features in the Expo/React Native app.
- Write and debug JSI/TurboModule and native module code for iOS/Android.
- Utilize AI agents for writing, debugging, and testing code.
- Own performance-sensitive flows and profile/fix issues at the native bridge layer.
- Implement and harden push notifications and deep linking.
- Manage Expo SDK upgrades and native dependency compatibility.
- Maintain EAS build and CI/CD workflows.
- Write Jest/React Native Testing Library coverage for components.
- Triage and resolve crash and stability issues.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on mobile-facing API contracts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional React Native experience.
- Hands-on experience with JSI, TurboModules, and native module development.
- Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals.
- Experience with push notification systems and deep linking.
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD and app store release processes.
- Startup mindset with the ability to work independently in ambiguity.
- Practical testing instincts using Jest and React Native Testing Library.
- Comfortable working with REST/OpenAPI contracts.
