Base Salary
$170k - $278k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy computer vision and multimodal deep learning models for Skydio’s autonomy system.
- Use real-world video and sensor data for data mining, curation, labeling, training, and evaluation.
- Use large-scale synthetic data to power deep learning algorithms.
- Apply foundation models for knowledge distillation and label-efficient learning.
- Refine and optimize models for low-latency execution on embedded hardware.
- Develop evaluation benchmarks and metrics for autonomous system performance.
- Contribute as a generalist across other aspects of the software when needed.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience designing, training, and deploying deep learning models.
- Strong coding ability in Python and PyTorch, preferably with C++.
- Ability to apply state-of-the-art academic papers and literature to accelerate iteration.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, highly technical environment.
- Comfort navigating and delivering within a complex codebase.
- Strong communication skills.
