Responsibilities
- Architect and guide a scalable, secure ML platform supporting the full machine learning lifecycle.
- Implement infrastructure for model training, hyperparameter tuning, experiment tracking, and model registries.
- Orchestrate ML workflows using Kubeflow, SageMaker, MLflow, or similar tools.
- Establish best practices for ML reproducibility, governance, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Partner with Data Engineers to build robust data pipelines for model-ready datasets.
- Optimize ML workload performance across cloud-native compute and storage layers.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and influence the ML platform roadmap.
- Support compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements throughout the ML lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years working on ML platforms or infrastructure.
- Expertise building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Advanced experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with statistical learning algorithms including GLM, XGBoost, and Random Forest, plus deep learning techniques including neural networks and transformers.
- Preferred experience with real-time model inference, streaming ML pipelines, model governance, reproducibility, monitoring, drift detection, feature stores, workflow tools, and regulatory considerations.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, TeamCity, and Terraform.
- Insurance, banking, or finance industry experience is preferred.
