Responsibilities
- Architect and guide a scalable, secure ML platform supporting the full machine learning lifecycle.
- Design infrastructure for model training, hyperparameter tuning, experiment tracking, and model registries.
- Orchestrate ML workflows using Kubeflow, SageMaker, MLflow, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with data scientists, MLOps engineers, data engineers, and product engineers on reproducibility, governance, and ML operations best practices.
- Build robust data pipelines for model-ready datasets and optimize ML workloads across compute and storage layers.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and help define the ML platform roadmap.
- Ensure security, privacy, regulatory compliance, model monitoring, and auditability throughout the ML lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years working on ML platforms or infrastructure.
- Expertise building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Advanced experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with statistical learning algorithms such as GLM, XGBoost, and Random Forest, plus deep learning using neural networks and transformers.
- Preferred experience with real-time model inference, streaming ML pipelines, feature stores, Airflow, Argo, model governance, drift detection, Kafka, Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, TeamCity, and Terraform.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with familiarity with regulatory considerations and insurance, banking, or finance.
