Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and operate a low-latency per-user behavioral data layer that aggregates violation history, reports, and behavioral patterns.
- Build and evolve a centralized consequence engine combining deterministic rules and ML risk signals.
- Develop a unified backend framework for feature restrictions and safety interventions.
- Create a scalable abuse-reporting framework integrating reporting channels, LLM-based classification, agentic review workflows, and ML models.
- Build explainable, fair, and auditable serving infrastructure for safety decisions.
- Own end-to-end delivery from system design through migration, testing, and production operations.
- Perform monitoring, alerting, on-call, capacity planning, and incident response for user-facing systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems at scale, ideally using Go or a comparable statically typed backend language.
- Strong distributed-systems experience, including service APIs, RPC or gRPC, high-throughput event ingestion, data modeling, caching, and low-latency read paths.
- Experience building and evolving rules engines, workflow or decision systems, or similarly stateful business-logic services.
- Experience with streaming or batch data pipelines feeding a feature store or similar ingestion layer.
- Ability to partner effectively with ML engineers who consume backend data.
- Preferred experience in trust and safety, fraud, risk, or other adversarial domains.
- Preferred experience with feature stores, ML-serving infrastructure, or backend-driven UI frameworks such as server-driven intervention or notification rendering.
- Commitment to reliability, ethical engineering, fairness, explainability, and responsible user-safety systems.
