Responsibilities
- Create test methodologies and write test plans for Arista features and products.
- Design network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability, and scalability.
- Execute test plans, identify defects, and validate defect resolutions.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects beyond automated unit and product-level tests.
- Reproduce and debug escalated customer issues in the lab.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, field support, customer support, product, and engineering teams.
- Support developers in creating automated tests that complement exploratory testing.
- Participate in functional specification and software design reviews with customer-focused input.
- Use networking products and systems in complex, scaled-out topologies to validate real-world behavior.
Requirements
- BE, B.Tech, ME, or M.Tech degree with networking industry experience.
- Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test plans.
- Strong knowledge of one or more networking areas, including Ethernet, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, IP routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, IGMP, PIM SM/SSM, QoS, L2-L3 protocols, platform validation, high availability, and network management.
- Experience with IXIA and/or Spirent test tools is desired.
- Ability to work with developers on automated test plans and participate in software design reviews.
- Experience working on the Linux platform.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug software and hardware problems in a development and test environment.
