Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale content safety systems including classifiers, vector databases, and multimodal models.
- Develop and maintain production-grade distributed systems and high-throughput content-processing pipelines across server-side and on-device environments.
- Build model training, evaluation, and productionization workflows with feedback loops and automation.
- Implement agentic workflows and advanced heuristics to detect complex abuse patterns.
- Identify and mitigate novel abuse patterns to keep Google products safe.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software programming experience in Python, Java, or C++.
- At least 1 year of experience in a core ML domain such as generative AI, NLP, computer vision, speech/audio, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, or ML infrastructure.
- At least 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model training, inference, deployment, evaluation, or optimization.
- Preferred experience in factuality, product policy, responsible AI, UGC or GenAI product safety, adversarial incentives, abuse vectors, and virality.
- Preferred experience designing and deploying global-scale defensive architectures and pipelines.
- Understanding of machine learning and LLM architecture, including transformers, activations, and large-scale training and deployment.
- Experience managing technical debt, reducing bugs, and mitigating SLO breaches.
