Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver scalable cloud threat detections that identify real-world attack activity.
- Establish detection engineering standards and implement detection-as-code methodologies.
- Design correlation logic and detection content to improve visibility, signal quality, and response speed.
- Collaborate with Cloud Security Operations and Global Security Operations Center teams to deliver actionable detections.
- Validate detection effectiveness through testing and simulation, expand coverage, address gaps, and strengthen cloud defenses.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security engineering, detection engineering, or cloud security with hands-on detection development in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Expertise developing security detection logic with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, KQL, cloud-native detection tools, or CNAPP solutions.
- Experience with detection-as-code principles, Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and software engineering practices.
- Understanding of cloud threat behaviors and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Strong communication, documentation, knowledge-sharing, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with Wiz or similar CNAPP technologies, Kubernetes security, regulated industries, or relevant cloud security certifications.
