Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android features for Comcast Home Protection experiences.
- Collaborate with product, backend, device, iOS, and product management teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to application architecture, design reviews, and technical decisions.
- Write maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks and cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
- Implement and expand backend-driven mobile UI rendering frameworks using Spec-Driven Development.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware and software integration layers.
- Debug and resolve complex production and connectivity issues.
- Participate in code reviews, mobile guild meetings, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development or UI frameworks driven dynamically by backend JSON schemas.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing complex client-side state logic.
- Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architecture patterns.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with consideration for coursework, experience, or extensive related professional experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Flutter and Dart experience, smart-home or IoT workflows, Jetpack Compose, Android permissions and lifecycles, and large-scale consumer application development.
