Base Salary
$126k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex Java backend systems using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and performant microservices-based solutions.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement.
- Design and manage OpenShift and Kubernetes container orchestration platforms and develop Helm charts for application deployment.
- Implement Harness-based CI/CD and deployment automation, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Apply Kubernetes best practices such as resource optimization, readiness and liveness probes, graceful shutdowns, labeling, and Pod Disruption Budgets.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot distributed applications, and contribute to logging, monitoring, and tracing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define, design, and deliver application features while managing technical and compliance risks.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
- Expert-level knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices architecture, design patterns, and advanced application development concepts.
- Expert proficiency with Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, MongoDB, complex query optimization, and schema design.
- Experience with application performance monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and tuning.
- Proven experience with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Helm, and Harness or comparable deployment automation tooling.
- Experience with Kubernetes best practices, Kubernetes Secrets and/or HashiCorp Vault, and monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions for distributed systems.
- Preferred knowledge of API gateways, service discovery, distributed tracing, Spring Cloud Gateway, Eureka, Zipkin, SonarQube, CheckStyle, OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, communication, stakeholder management, technical depth, and business judgment.
- Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.

- Base salary range of $125,760.00-$188,640.00 annually, with potential discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards excluded from the base salary.
