Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies.
- Review peer code for style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Build agent primitives, guardrails, and knowledge integrations that enable autonomous data-engineering workflows with safety, impact validation, and reversibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, or storage.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with distributed systems, backend services, cloud infrastructure, data-processing systems, developer platforms, or frameworks.
- Experience with AI algorithms.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: Experience with Spanner or large-scale Google infrastructure, APIs, platform primitives, safety-critical systems, or agent/LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred: Proficiency in Java.
