Base Salary
$134k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and machine learning engineers to understand their needs.
- Propose, architect, design, and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Lead by example to improve the software engineering culture within the data organization.
- Isolate and understand development, performance, and stability issues.
- Work with the data infrastructure team to resolve problems faced by data teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Python engineer with a focus on internal tooling and automation.
- Expert fluency in Python and ideally SQL, with an understanding of programming language internals.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices and testing methodologies.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and deliver functional solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced knowledge in container-based software development workflows, Snowflake, AWS, Apache Airflow, and Kafka.
- Experience with SQL, analytical databases, and data analytics.
