Base Salary
$171k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and train sophisticated models.
- Design system and model architectures for AI capabilities.
- Conduct experimentation, model evaluations, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to build AI functionality across Atlassian products and services.
- Provide guidance to junior machine learning engineers.
- Help develop shared AI infrastructure, data pipelines, frameworks, models, search, knowledge discovery, and conversational experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of related industry experience in the data science domain.
- Expertise in Python or Java and the ability to write performant, production-quality code.
- Familiarity with SQL, Spark, and cloud data environments such as AWS and Databricks.
- Experience building and scaling machine learning models in business applications using large amounts of data.
- Preferred experience in consumer or B2C SaaS, enterprise or B2B environments, deep learning-based models, and LLM-related applications.
- Ability to solve ambiguous and complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
