Responsibilities
- Evolve the entity management and governance platform, including entity types, attributes, cross-references, and relationships.
- Build and improve NER pipelines using LLM-based models, gazetteers, pattern matching, and blacklists.
- Extend NER capabilities to new content types, including live-stream content.
- Improve search and entity discovery through entity resolution, personalized search, filtering, and relationship navigation.
- Design and query graph-based relationship models for traversal, visualization, and connected business context.
- Implement entity-level security and access controls across data retrieval and exploration.
- Onboard data sources and support integrations with consuming applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and AI workflows while validating AI-generated code and designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on the platform roadmap and support team onboarding and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including building or managing production data-intensive platforms.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, information retrieval, and entity resolution.
- Knowledge of graph databases and knowledge graphs, including Neo4j and Cypher.
- Applied NLP and NER experience, including LLM-based extraction and models such as Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, or spaCy.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.
- Experience ingesting and synchronizing data from multiple source systems.
- Strong systems thinking, architecture, and data modeling skills for complex business domains.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and agentic AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to evaluate, validate, and correct AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.
- Excellent communication skills and knowledge of permission-aware data access and security filtering.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or other asset-heavy industries is preferred.
