Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and distributed systems for logistics orchestration and shipment risk analysis.
- Own partner data flows from multi-vendor and IoT data integration and normalization through warehousing, monitoring, and operational support.
- Develop event-driven services and predictive workflows for shipment risk assessment, on-time and in-full performance, and exception handling.
- Build and maintain partner-facing APIs, webhooks, queues, and external integrations.
- Improve service reliability and scalability through testing, deployment, monitoring, and observability.
- Provide production ownership, including on-call support and security considerations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend engineering experience building scalable, distributed production systems; roughly 6 to 10 years is preferred.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js, SQL, relational data modeling, NoSQL databases, and ETL pipelines.
- Experience with IoT data ingestion and contextualization, partner APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, REST or gRPC APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor with strong production ownership.
- Logistics, supply chain, cold-chain, or regulated healthcare experience is a plus.
Benefits
- Base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 annually, plus equity and a cash bonus.
