Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build a modern cloud-native platform from scratch with Elixir at its core.
- Create a fine-grained access control system for clinical data and patient data ownership.
- Design and ship highly available infrastructure supporting rolling deployments, failover, and real-time data synchronization.
- Architect an integration engine connecting ventilators, bedside monitors, imaging equipment, lab equipment, and other hardware reliably in real time.
- Improve the movement of data and workflows among nurses, doctors, and administrators.
- Write clean, robust code and solve novel technical challenges in a mission-critical healthcare environment.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming, with the ability and willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Experience with tools such as Phoenix, Elixir, Python, Erlang, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a record of tackling challenging engineering problems.
- Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced and innovative team environment.
- Familiarity with open-source technology and an interest in exploring new solutions.
- Experience building products from 0 to 1 with strong product sense.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and best practices.
- Passion for making a meaningful impact in healthcare through software innovation is a plus.
