Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go.
- Build microservices, distributed applications, RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven integrations.
- Implement data access layers, business logic, integration services, and secure, performant backend systems.
- Develop automated unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
- Troubleshoot production issues, application defects, and performance bottlenecks.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, cloud services, containerized environments, and orchestration platforms.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and operational health.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, Agile ceremonies, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, API specifications, implementation details, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of professional software development experience.
- At least two years of hands-on backend application development experience using Go.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and distributed systems.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC services, service-oriented architectures, microservices, and event-driven applications.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience with automated testing, Git-based source control, CI/CD, Docker, containerized applications, and cloud platforms.
- Experience working with Agile development teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, distributed systems, observability, OpenAPI/Swagger, Terraform or Bicep, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, identity management, and infrastructure automation.
- Preferred experience includes GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, enterprise integrations, high-availability systems, cloud-native modernization, and architecture governance.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
