Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools.
- Apply site reliability engineering principles to improve system stability and performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot and debug distributed cloud-native systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on service reliability and operational excellence.
- Create documentation to improve engineering self-service capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing under the guidance of senior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- About 1 year of experience in a software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure role.
- Australian government security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance, requiring Australian citizenship.
- Understanding of operating systems, preferably Linux.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as AKS or EKS.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
- Experience with observability tools covering logging, metrics, and APM.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts such as Terraform or ARM.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and willingness-to-learn skills.
- Exposure to AI development tools.
