Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases, regression tests, automated tests, integration tests, and operational tests across the software development lifecycle.
- Verify product performance goals, project requirements, and software release approval criteria, while documenting testing activities.
- Prepare test environments through hardware setup, device flashing, software installation, and software execution.
- Conduct operational testing on flights in and around Melbourne.
- Collaborate with software engineers and software quality assurance engineers to improve software design, testing processes, and software quality.
- Work to agreed schedules, identify potential delays or failures, and communicate them promptly to the Director of Engineering.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or an equivalent overseas qualification such as NZCE.
- Cross-platform testing experience on Windows and Linux.
- Proficiency setting up and managing test environments and operating systems.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex software engineering problems independently or collaboratively.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment and contributing to software solutions and automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of fault tracking systems.
- Preferred qualifications include ISTQB accreditation, experience with automated testing tools, HIL and SIL testing, and testing and validating real-time embedded software systems.
