Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain foundational systems that empower developers and support company growth.
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure for SaaS, single-tenant, and private deployments.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources and Kubernetes clusters for cost-effectiveness and performance.
- Maintain infrastructure boundaries and principles that enable successful external customer deployments.
- Improve release and deployment processes for greater efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and implement security measures across deployment environments.
- Help develop LlamaIndex’s engineering culture as the company grows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience working on platform or infrastructure teams on significant infrastructure projects.
- Experience with infrastructure components such as Terraform or CDKTF, Kubernetes, Helm, test infrastructure, release management, and observability.
- Experience optimizing cloud resource utilization and tuning Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources for cost and performance.
- Ability to balance speed and pragmatism while building solutions appropriate to each stage of company growth.
- Preferred experience building infrastructure from the ground up at a fast-growing startup.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, ArgoCD, Flux, security compliance and cloud audits such as SOC2, Python, Postgres, and multi-cloud deployments.
