Base Salary
$175k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and operate a mini cloud platform for durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing.
- Build and scale agent infrastructure that runs coding agents producing, testing, and deploying integration code in production.
- Implement observability across logs, metrics, and distributed tracing for integrations and agents.
- Ship a self-hostable, single-tenant deployment as a standalone product.
- Establish engineering patterns for future infrastructure hires.
- Help recruit and grow into leading the infrastructure team within roughly a year.
- Work directly with the CTO and founding team while continuously shipping to production.
Requirements
- Have 3 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth startup or as a founder/co-founder.
- Be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or have a firm, dated plan to relocate there, and work on-site five days per week.
- Have hands-on experience operating, scaling, and debugging Kubernetes in production.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure or a platform.
- Have strong observability experience covering logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Experience shipping self-hostable, single-tenant product deployments is preferred.
- Be comfortable using AI coding agents while maintaining production-quality engineering judgment.
- Have solid computer science or quantitative fundamentals from a completed or in-progress university degree.
- Be fluent with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
