Responsibilities
- Define and maintain application architectures across on-premises, cloud-native, microservices, and API-driven systems.
- Guide solution design, code quality, engineering practices, API design, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and SDLC adoption.
- Lead cloud strategy, workload assessments, migration, modernization, and foundational design across cloud environments.
- Design identity and access management approaches covering authentication, authorization, single sign-on, role-based access, attribute-based access, identity governance, and least privilege.
- Establish observability practices covering logging, metrics, tracing, profiling, instrumentation, and alerting.
- Promote Infrastructure-as-Code, environment automation, CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, static analysis, and staged deployments.
- Define technical roadmaps, architectural standards, reusable patterns, data models, and integration schemas.
- Lead proof-of-concepts, modernization and cloud migration initiatives, and technical validation efforts.
- Mentor engineers and influence teams across application, cloud, identity, and platform disciplines.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, governance, data quality, and integration requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience in an architecture or senior engineering capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- Strong foundation in application architecture, distributed systems, integration, API design, and backend development.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating services in a major public cloud, with adaptability across multiple cloud platforms.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, single sign-on, role-based access, and enterprise identity providers.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, instrumentation, logging, metrics, profiling, tracing, and supporting tools.
- Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, environment automation, containerization, and orchestration.
- Backend development experience in C++, Java, or Python.
- Working understanding of security, networking, governance frameworks, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, domain-driven design, and hybrid environments.
- Ability to lead proof-of-concepts, influence engineering teams, document architecture, communicate complex concepts, and guide release and quality practices.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-104, comparable AWS certifications, and identity or security certifications are preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-scale transformation or platform engineering is preferred.
