Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for internal monitoring capabilities.
- Build and integrate monitoring features into the existing VeepeeCloud console.
- Translate user and product needs into practical technical solutions with the MOM and VeepeeCloud teams.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and implement automated unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, reduce technical debt, and maintain technical documentation.
- Potentially participate in selected operational activities, incident response, and critical production-event war rooms as the role develops.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Python or Go and designing and building REST APIs.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, including integrating features into an existing application.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency with Git, code reviews, automated unit and integration testing, and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to work across multicultural teams and translate functional requirements into maintainable software.
- Professional written and spoken English proficiency.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, time-series databases, Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, GitLab, Linux, Terraform, and Ansible.
