Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve security infrastructure, tooling, and controls across cloud infrastructure, engineering systems, identity, and endpoints.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate security technologies across the engineering environment.
- Manage security posture and vulnerabilities by identifying, prioritizing, tracking, and driving remediation of risks.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to identify security gaps and implement practical, scalable solutions.
- Integrate vulnerability and dependency scanning tools into engineering workflows.
- Build and improve security monitoring, detection, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
- Automate security operations and controls to improve coverage, consistency, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience in Security Operations, Infrastructure Security, or Security Engineering.
- Experience owning security infrastructure and tooling in a modern, cloud-based AWS environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Hands-on experience evaluating, deploying, integrating, and operating security tools and security posture management platforms.
- Experience implementing security controls in collaboration with Infrastructure and Engineering teams.
- Ability to independently identify security gaps, design solutions, and drive implementation end-to-end.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment.
- Preferred experience with penetration testing, security research, offensive security, CSPM, application security, secure software development, security automation, internal security tooling, detection engineering, incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring improvements.
- Security training or certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or equivalent are preferred.
