Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java for backend development and React for frontend development.
- Integrate systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Write maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Analyze requirements with business analysts and stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and resolve defects.
- Create and maintain software design documents, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive financial data and support regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of strong full stack development experience with a focus on Java and React.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience with Git and with CI/CD tools and platforms including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Experience in financial services, particularly wholesale credit risk, is required or preferred as stated in the posting.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and microservices architecture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
