Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web pages and email communications.
- Contribute to Apple’s internal news platform, editorial experiences, and email communications.
- Serve as the day-to-day site lead for publishing workflows and content quality.
- Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to implement web experiences.
- Partner with an engineering team on ongoing platform improvements.
- Perform light QA validation and testing before new code releases.
- Troubleshoot Safari and WebKit-specific rendering issues across macOS and iOS.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong experience with semantic HTML5, modern CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience building and testing HTML email templates.
- Deep familiarity with Safari/WebKit rendering behavior on macOS and iOS.
- Comfort with project management and collaboration tools for documentation, task tracking, and coordination.
- Basic Git and version control proficiency.
- Preferred: 5+ years of development experience, including front-end development and email campaigns.
- Preferred: hands-on Drupal experience, including content types and Drupal front-end conventions.
- Preferred: experience with email development frameworks or testing tools and web-based email distribution platforms.
- Preferred: experience in media, internal communications, marketing, or editorial web production.
- Preferred: familiarity with React or a similar component-based framework and Node.js tooling.
- Preferred: accessibility experience including WCAG 2.2 AA.
