Responsibilities
- Design, codify, test, and deliver Kubernetes-based microservice configurations using Deployments, Services, Ingress, and ConfigMaps.
- Build reusable base configurations with environment overlays and support safe promotion across development, staging, and production.
- Operate in a GitOps model with Argo CD and implement canary releases, validation gates, autoscaling, resiliency, and secure secrets management.
- Use Prometheus and Grafana for observability-driven reliability and performance improvements.
- Enforce deployment governance with Open Policy Agent and ensure secure, compliant, reproducible deployments.
- Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Advance a self-service deployment platform using Backstage and Argo CD.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject such as Computer Science or Electronic/Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of demonstrated software development experience.
- Extensive architecture and programming experience with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong Kubernetes and microservices experience.
- Experience with GitOps and CI/CD.
- Preferred experience with Helm or Kustomize, Argo CD, HashiCorp Vault, and observability involving metrics, logs, or tracing.
