Base Salary
$144k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deliver reliable software solutions for government customers.
- Pair with client developers, engineers, military personnel, and other team members to deliver user-focused functionality.
- Teach and guide clients in design thinking, TDD, paired programming, continuous-release deployment, backlog management, and user-centered delivery practices.
- Adapt collaboration, feedback, and teaching approaches to each client and engagement.
- Continuously gather real-user feedback and deliver working software week over week.
- Balance user needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, and stakeholder vision when making engineering decisions.
- Build team capability through technical guidance, shared practices, and mentoring.
- Champion AI-augmented ways of working to accelerate delivery, reduce cycle time, and improve outcomes.
Requirements
- Active US Secret or TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- 6–10 years of software development experience in a variety of programming languages.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Elixir.
- Experience with Spring Boot, React.JS, Vue, or Redux.
- Experience developing across both frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes, including Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
- Experience with API development and running software in Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, databases, and design patterns.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including comfort with pair programming.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Active US citizenship is required, along with successful completion of a background investigation.
- Preferred experience includes training, mentoring, or upskilling engineers; cloud-native application development; product or development team leadership; continuous delivery; direct client work; and DoD Software Factory experience.
