Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise agentic AI platform, including its engineering standards, reusable templates, runtime reliability, governance, cybersecurity controls, and lifecycle management.
- Design, develop, and operate production AI agents, multi-agent orchestration patterns, MCP servers, tool integrations, secure API gateways, RAG pipelines, and context engineering frameworks.
- Build agent evaluation, versioning, promotion, monitoring, regression, and retirement processes, including offline evaluation sets and online quality monitoring.
- Embed least-privilege identity, tool scoping, policy enforcement, guardrails, and prompt-injection and tool-abuse defenses into agent systems.
- Own AI platform FinOps, including cost visibility, token and compute optimization, capacity planning, and chargeback or showback reporting.
- Define production support models, runbooks, escalation paths, service-level objectives, and service-level agreements; participate in on-call and incident response.
- Champion infrastructure and delivery automation using Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Python.
- Hire, onboard, and mentor a small engineering team and collaborate with Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Operations teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software or platform engineering experience shipping and operating production systems at scale.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building LLM-based applications, including at least one agentic system operating in production.
- Deep proficiency in Python, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices, with GitHub Actions preferred.
- Experience with multi-model foundation-model estates and model selection based on cost and quality trade-offs is preferred.
- Demonstrated cloud cost management or FinOps experience for AI or data workloads.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading small engineering teams.
- Experience with evaluation-driven development, including offline evaluation sets, rubric and LLM-as-judge scoring, CI regression gates, and online production-agent quality monitoring.
- Practical experience securing LLM and agent systems through identity controls, least-privilege tool access, guardrails, and prompt-injection and tool-abuse mitigation.
- Experience operating on the Databricks lakehouse platform is preferred.
- Live entertainment, ticketing, consumer e-commerce, open-source agent framework, or MCP ecosystem experience is preferred.
- Ability to explain complex agentic architectures to technical and non-technical audiences and travel 10–20% annually.
