Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes.
- Ensure team operations and availability with proper monitoring and alerting.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards.
- Develop talent on the team through feedback and guidance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing and developing backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Kotlin.
- Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Spark and task orchestration systems like Airflow or Temporal.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
