Responsibilities
- Own the CLOB engine's critical path and drive improvements to latency and throughput.
- Reduce lock contention and debug concurrency issues in orderbooks.
- Build for observability and safety with metrics, logs, and traces.
- Reason about settlement risk and design systems for edge cases.
- Improve runtime performance by optimizing CPU and memory allocation.
- Debug production incidents and enhance system reliability.
Requirements
- Production experience building low-latency backend systems at scale.
- Strong concurrency skills with a track record in debugging issues.
- Fluency in production Go and Rust programming languages.
- Deep experience with observability tools like pprof and distributed traces.
- Experience with exchange systems interacting with EVM or blockchain layers.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and profiling.
- Direct experience with matching engines or exchange infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience with EVM transaction lifecycle and its effects on off-chain systems is a plus.
- Experience with Go runtime and GC tuning is a plus.
- Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, gRPC, and Protobuf is a plus.
- Kubernetes and AWS production operations experience is a plus.
