Responsibilities
- Build and scale software infrastructure for stellarator design exploration.
- Develop core data, compute, and analysis tooling for company teams.
- Design and develop platforms supporting simulation, optimization, and stellarator design workflows.
- Manage cloud infrastructure, including infrastructure-as-code, permissions, and cloud efficiency.
- Support cloud computing with Kubernetes, Ray, Dask, Docker, and PEX.
- Unify and streamline development through developer containers and monorepos.
- Improve observability and manage distributed and high-performance computing clusters.
- Raise cross-organizational DevOps standards and optimize DORA metrics.
- Shape software development practices, quality standards, and architecture.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in computer science.
- Understanding of or hands-on experience with DevOps, CloudOps, or platform engineering practices.
- Experience developing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, ideally for science, machine learning, or data-processing use cases.
- Experience with end-to-end or full-stack system design, ideally supporting physics, engineering, or AI teams.
- Proficiency in Python and Linux.
- Desire to solve complex problems with simple solutions and contribute to clean energy.
