Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead major initiatives and own a large area of Shepherd's product experience.
- Work across the stack and different disciplines, including underwriting and design.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to building company culture.
- Balance innovation with pragmatic delivery while staying current with emerging tech.
- Contribute to product strategy and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience, preferably as a full-stack engineer.
- Experience with Javascript/Typescript for backend and/or frontend development.
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in an InsurTech or actuarial role.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take end-to-end ownership of features.
